CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- Chattanooga senior
Olivia Lipari hit .667 Sunday to lead the Mocs softball team to a sweep of the Frost Classic at Frost Stadium.

Lipari belted out a pair of home run on four hits with three runs batted in and scored two runs in the Mocs back-to-back wins over IU Indy (9-8) and Southeast Missouri State (1-0).
Acelynn Sellers and
Abi Bunt each added a home run with two RBIs on the day.
Â
The Mocs were all about the runs in the opening game Sunday with nine runs, edging out IU Indy, but the second game against SEMO was a drought of scoring and a combined seven hits between the two teams.

Peja Goold and
Alyssa Lavdis each picked up a win and the Mocs staff combined for 13 strikeouts.
Â
On Saturday, the Mocs defeated Lamar 5-4 and Illinois State 4-2. Friday's games were canceled and an extra game was added Sunday morning.

CHATTANOOGA 9, IU INDY 8
The Jaguars opened the game with three runs in the first on a pair of singles and a sac fly.

Acelynn Sellers responded in the bottom of the inning with a single to score
Kailey Snell who led off the Mocs day with a double.
Abi Bunt made it a 3-2 game in the second with a lead off home run to left.
Â
IU Indy reached on four singles in the third and added a pair of runs to make it a 5-2 advantage.

The Mocs responded with a lead off home run in the bottom of the inning from
Olivia Lipari.
Acelynn Sellers reached on a fielding error and reached second. She advanced to third on a ground out and scored on a single from Bunt to make it 5-4.

The Jaguars once again added to their score with a two-run double in the fourth.
Â
In the bottom of the fifth, Lipari once again led off with a home run and Sellers followed with one of her own and the Mocs cut the lead to 7-6.

Alyssa Orlando led off the sixth with a pinch-hit double and
Lexi Cooley returned to run the bases.
Baileigh Pitts, also pinch hitting, singled through the right side, scoring Cooley from second to tie the game.

Abi Pikas reentered the game to run for Pitts and advanced to third on a sac bunt from
Kailey Snell.
Camryn Cernuto took first on a walk and made it to second on a wild pitch. Lipari singled to right field, plating Pikas and moving Cernuto to third. Sellers was intentionally walked to load the bases.

Presley Williamson's sac fly to center gave the Mocs a two-run lead with the seventh inning remaining.

IU Indy led off the seventh with a home run, but it was all they would get as the Mocs got three of the next four batters out to end the game.

Alyssa Lavdis evened her record at 2-2 with the win, pitching three innings.
Â
Lipari was 3-for-4 in the game with two home runs and three RBI. Sellers was 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI. Bunt drove in two on 2-for-3 with a home run. Snell, Williamson and Orlando each had a double with Williamson tallying an RBI.

CHATTANOOGA 1, SEMO 0
It wasn't until the sixth inning that anyone crossed the plate in the Mocs 1-0 win over SEMO.

Kailey Snell led off the sixth with a single to left field and advanced to second on a sac bunt by
Camryn Cernuto. With Lipari up to bat, Snell reached third on a wild pitch and then scored on another wild pitch to make it 1-0.

SEMO got its lead off runner on base in the top of the seventh on a walk. She advanced to second on a sac bunt, but back-to-back ground outs ended the threat and the game.

Peja Goold got her second win of the weekend and third on the year. She struck out eight against SEMO and leads UTC with 42 on the year through 35 innings pitched.

Chattanooga improved to 7-7 overall and went 4-0 in their Frost Classic, claiming a fifth straight win. The Mocs will step out of tournament play to take on Jacksonville State in Alabama on Wednesday in a stand alone game. It is set for a 6:00 p.m. start at Jana McGinnis Field on the Jax State campus.

IU Indy went 1-3 with a 3-2 win over Lamar. Illinois State went 2-2 with a pair of wins on Sunday. Southeast Missouri State went 2-2 with two wins on Saturday. Indiana State went 2-2, splitting on each day. Lamar was 1-3 with a win over the Sycamores on the final day.
