CHATTANOOGA (February 28, 2025) – The Chattanooga Mocs women's tennis team will gear up to continue their season in non-conference play by facing Tennessee State at home on Saturday to end their homestand before heading to Georgia State for a Sunday matchup.
Saturday's action against Tennessee State is slated for a 1:30 p.m. start and will be held at the UTC Tennis Center on campus in Chattanooga, Tenn. Sunday's away match at Georgia State will begin at 12 p.m. in Atlanta, Ga.

Scouting Chattanooga
Chattanooga enters the weekend on a four-match winning streak after putting up a 5-2 win over Presbyterian on Sunday, February 16. The Mocs haven't dropped
a doubles point throughout their streak and have played to a 4-0 mark at home.
Scouting Tennessee State
Tennessee State is coming into the weekend following a 4-0 loss to Vanderbilt on February 14 after their scheduled match at Tennessee on Thursday (February 20) was postponed. The Tigers went 5-20 overall in their 2023-24 season and had a 2-4 record in Ohio Valley Conference play. They advanced to the OVC Tournament semifinal before their season ended with a 4-0 loss to No. 1 Southeast Missouri. The Mocs won the last meeting between the two teams 6-1 on January 21, 2024.
Scouting Georgia State
Georgia State is coming off two losses last weekend, 4-3 to UAB and 4-0 to nationally ranked No. 17 Alabama. In 2023-24, they went 10-14 overall and posted a 5-6 record in Sun Belt Conference play before advancing to the conference tournament quarterfinals where they fell to Old Dominion 4-0. The Panthers lost to the Mocs 4-3 in their last meeting on February 27, 2021.
