ABOUT CHATTANOOGA GOLF

CHATTANOOGA---Fly west to California. Play, travel home and van to Charleston. Play, travel home and then fly to Houston. For the Chattanooga Mocs men's golf team, the early schedule is like the back of a shampoo bottle…lather, rinse, repeat.

Three weeks. Three events. Three time zones. The marauding Mocs look to put together a complete 54 holes. The last two starts, the opening round average was 302.00 (+16.00). The final 36? 287.25 (+1.25).

The 2-day, 54-hole event begins Monday with a 10 a.m., Eastern time, shotgun start.

3rd season under Coach Blaine Woodruff, 32nd event. Program has seven team wins and five medalists over that stretch.
One team and individual win on the season in a title sweep at the Qubein Cup with Camden Braidech earning his first collegiate win. Braidech's 3-under 207 was the only under par score in the field.
Another win for Braidech would make him the first Moc since A.J. Lintunen in 2020-21 to win multiple times in a season. Others to do it? PGA Tour pro Stephan Jaeger '12 (3x-2011-12), Jonathan Hodge '09 (3x-2007-08) & Bryce Ledford '07 (2x-2004-05).
Braedon Wear is the only other collegiate medalist on the current roster. His was a 10-under 203 effort in the 2021 J.T. Poston Invite.
The pair of Wear and Garrett Engle have started six of Woodruff's seven wins. Wear has started in all seven.
