FROM THE COACH
"Day two wrapped up with the 4x400m running a season best 4:14.69 with Sarah [Unterholzner], Norah [Haney], Adelaide [McKeown] and Ava [McGue] bringing home a point to conclude action in Lexington. Prior to that, the 5,000m of Andrea [Ellis], Leah [Boyd] (season debut), Aubrey [Park], Lola [Baker], Emma [Thweatt] (first ever track 5k) and Michaela [Dabney] went toe to toe and grinded out lap after it.
Â
"It was a record setting day up front that saw a meet record fall. Stella [Henry] followed up her stout long jump and proved her prowess with a two more points in the triple. Maddie [Wheatcroft] recorded a season best in the mile recording a time of 5:04.79 and collecting the two points that come with a seventh place finish. Kennedy [Reynolds] qualifying for her first final speaks more about what's to come for her. Ryleigh [Simmons] continued her exceptional freshmen campaign collecting another point in the 60m.Â
Â
"The desire these women have to perform is matched by how much they care about one another. Everyone gets a few days to regroup and then they'll get things going again outdoors. They push each other and that's a really neat thing to see at this competitive level."
