Softball Hosts Kennesaw State Tuesday at Frost

The first 75 fans at Tuesday's game will receive a replica championship ring
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- With tournament season in the rearview mirror, the Mocs return home to host Kennesaw State Tuesday evening at Frost Stadium.

ABOUT THE MOCS (18-8)
The Mocs are 18-8 overall that included a 14-game win streak, tied for fifth longest in program history. They are hitting .312 as a team with 21 home runs, six triples and 43 doubles. The Mocs are slugging .483 and have a .402 on base percentage.
 
Camryn Cernuto is leading the team with a .395 with 10 RBI and is 10-for-10 in steals. Olivia Lipari is second on the team with a .373 batting average, a team-best 10 doubles – 15th in the NCAA, she has three home runs, 20 RBI and has drawn 15 walks. Acelynn Sellers has a team-best seven home runs, third in the Southern Conference and 57th in the NCAA. Presley Williamson has six home runs and a team-high 24 runs batted in, sixth in the SoCon. She had a game-winning grand slam against LIU in extra innings at the Make it Happen Games. Zoe Wright leads the SoCon with three triples and 25th in the NCAA.
 
The Mocs pitching staff has a 3.29 ERA led by Peja Goold with a 1.73, second best in the SoCon. She leads the league with a .167 opponent batting average, nine complete games, fourth in the NCAA, four shutouts, sixth in the NCAA and strikeouts with 98, 10th in the NCAA. Taylor Long is second in the SoCon behind Goold for strikeouts with 65. She is 6-0 and is fourth with a .216 opponent batting average.
 
ABOUT KENNESAW STATE (9-20, 0-6)
The Owls squeezed out a win against West Georgia between a pair of conference series where they were swept by Liberty and FIU. KSU posted a five-inning 10-2 victory over ETSU in early March while beating Saint Louis 7-6 in eight innings. The team is hitting .246 with 44 doubles, three triples and 15 home runs.
 
Hannah Harvey leads the team with a .314 batting average. She has five doubles, a triple, a home run and 12 RBI. Ana Gore has three home runs, a team-best 11 doubles, a team-best 19 runs batted in and a .305 batting average. Ava Guzowski leads the team with four home runs, has a .294 batting average and 13 runs batted in.
 
The Owls pitching staff has a 4.94 ERA led by Kenley Hilleary with a 3.42. She is 3-4 in 16 appearances and one complete game. Emma Friedel leads the team with 45 strikeouts in 46.1 innings and has a 5-7 record.
