CHATTANOOGA (March 21, 2025) – The Chattanooga Mocs women's tennis team will hit the road and travel to face off against Wofford in another Southern Conference matchup on Saturday before hosting St. Thomas (MN) on Tuesday to conclude non-conference play.
Saturday's SoCon action at Wofford will begin at 11 a.m. and will be held at the Reeves Tennis Center in Spartanburg, S.C. Tuesday's home action against St. Thomas (MN) will start at 3 p.m. at the UTC Tennis Center in Chattanooga, Tenn., weather permitting. Scouting Chattanooga
Chattanooga split last weekend's matches with a 5-2 win against NAIA nationally ranked Tennessee Wesleyan at home before dropping a tight 4-3 decision at Mercer in SoCon opening action. The Mocs have won five of their last seven, with the only other loss being a narrow 4-3 loss to Georgia State on March 2. Tuesday's matchup against St. Thomas will be Chattanooga's non-conference finale.
Scouting Wofford
Wofford has not opened SoCon play for the season yet, as its matchup this past Sunday against UNCG was postponed due to weather. The Bulldogs enter the weekend on a five-match winning streak and have won six of their last seven, with their only loss being a 5-2 decision to Georgia Southern back on February 22. In their last meeting on March 16, 2024, the Mocs fell 5-2.
Scouting St. Thomas (MN)
St. Thomas enters Tuesday's match looking to snap a four-match skid dating back to March 2 which includes losses to Boise State, Denver, Air Force, and most recently Kansas City on March 15. The Tommies are 6-7 overall and 1-2 in Summit League play, with both losses coming from their recent matchups against Denver and Kansas City. Tuesday's match will be the first ever meeting between St. Thomas and Chattanooga.
