- This was the 37th all-time meeting between Chattanooga and Mercer.
- The Mocs now lead the series 26-11.
- This marked the fourth time that these two programs have met in the SoCon Tournament.
- The last time came in 2024, when UTC defeated Mercer 66-55 in the SoCon Tournament Quarterfinals.
- UTC is now 3-1 when playing Mercer in the postseason.
- Chattanooga's all-time SoCon Tournament record moves to 67-21.
- Chattanooga's all-time SoCon Tournament record as a No. 2 seed moves to 10-2.
- This is the sixth time that the Mocs have come into the SoCon Tournament as the No. 2 seed.
- The last time the Mocs were the No. 2 seed was in 2023.
- UTC has won the SoCon Tournament as the No. 2 seed three times in program history: 2023, 2016 and 1992.
- Deandra Schirmer has now earned the first SoCon Tournament win of her UTC coaching career.
- The Mocs have now won their last seven SoCon Tournament games dating back to a SoCon Quarterfinal win back in 2023 that started the streak
- The last Chattanooga loss in the SoCon Tournament came back in 2022 (Furman def. Chattanooga 70-63 (OT) in the 2022 SoCon Quarterfinals).
- UTC will now play at 1:15 p.m. ET on Friday, March 7 in the SoCon Tournament Semifinals.
- They await the winner of No. 3 ETSU and No. 6 Furman.
- Deandra Schirmer is just the third head coach in program history to lead the Mocs to a top-two seed in the SoCon Tournament in their first season with the program.
- She joins Shawn Poppie (2022-23) and Jim Foster (2013-14).
- Coach Schirmer went with the following starting five:

- The Mocs are now 12-8 when playing that starting five this season.
- It was a wire-to-wire victory for the Mocs, their fifth wire-to-wire win of the season.
- UTC had wire-to-wire victories all three times the team played against Mercer this season.
- The Mocs outscored the Bears 38-15 in the first half including a 15-4 second quarter effort.
- The +23-halftime advantage marked the largest (vs. DI) this season for the Mocs since a +25 (42-17) edge against N.C. Central back on November 11.
- UTC out-shot Mercer 41 percent (21-for-51) to 36 percent (19-for-53) from the floor.
- The Mocs also out-shot Mercer 33 percent (7-for-21) to 20 percent (2-for-10) from three-point range.
- 19 of UTC's 68 points came from the free throw line.
- Chattanooga won the turnover battle, 16-13. This led to the Mocs out-scoring Mercer on points off turnovers, 17-11.
- The Mocs out-rebounded the Bears 38-30.
- UTC also edged out Mercer in second chance points (10-6), bench points (11-6) and fastbreak points (8-2).

Takia Davis, Sr., F/C
- Appeared in her 23rd game of the season.
- Has now played in 92 games in her career (71 with the Mocs).
- Notched one assist, tying her season-high for the stat.
Masa Buzic, Fr., G
- Entered her tenth career game in a UTC uniform.
Sigrun Olafsdottir, Sr., G/F
- Made her 145th career start (all with the Mocs).
- Played in her 148th career game (all with the Mocs).
- Holds the program record for most games played in program history (148 and counting).
- Also holds the program record for most career starts (145 and counting).
- Olafsdottir is also four appearances away from tying David Jean-Baptiste and AJ Caldwell for the most games played by a men's OR women's basketball player in UTC history (152).
- Tied for a team-high three steals in the win.
- This is her 19th time leading the team in steals this season.
- With her at 198 career steals she sits tied for seventh place on program's all-time steals list.
- She's now four shy of tying Nicole Mattison (2002-06) and Jan Cameron (1990-94) for fifth all-time in program history.
- Officially logged her 67th steal of the season.
- She's the first Moc since 2013-14 to record 67+ steals in a single season.
- Also finished tied for a team-high in rebounding, ending her day with six.
- This just her seventh time leading the team in rebounds this season.
- It's also her eighth-straight game with 5+ rebounds.
- Has now logged 4+ rebounds in a total of 23 games this season.
- Score nine points after going perfect from the floor (3-for-3 FG; 2-for-2 3PT).
Caia Elisaldez, So., G
- Made her 26th start of the season, 29th of her career.
- Appeared in her 27th game of the season, 60th of her career.
- Ended up scoring 11 for the Mocs, going 4-for-10 from the floor and 2-for-3 from three-point range.
- This marked the first time in 11 games that Elisaldez has not led the Mocs in scoring.
- Has been a double-digit scorer 21 times this season. 25 times in her career.
- Logged a team-high four assists, her 19th time leading UTC in assists this season.
- Tied for a team-high three steals.
- Has led the Mocs in steals six times this season, including back-to-back games.
- Also brought down four rebounds for the Mocs.
Frode Flos van der Schans, RSo., F/C
- Checked into her 26th game of the season. 36th of her career.
- Logged UTC's lone block of the game.
- This is her third time leading the team in blocks this season.
- Ended the day with five points and five rebounds.
- Her five rebounds tie her career-high in the stat from earlier this season against WCU.
Ava Card, Fr., G/F
- Appeared in her 26th game of her rookie campaign.
- Scored six points for UTC, including going a perfect 4-for-4 from the charity stripe.

- Made her 23nd start for the Mocs (81st start of her career).
- Appeared in her 133th career game (28th as a Moc).
- Notched a team-high 17 points for the Mocs in the victory.
- This is her highest scoring output for the Mocs since dropping a career-high 26 points back on Jan. 16 against Samford.
- Finished 5-for-8 (62.5 percent) from the floor and 7-for-8 (87.5 percent) from the free throw line.
- This is her third time leading the team in scoring this season.
- Has been a double-digit scorer nine times this season. 29 times in her career.
- Recorded an additional four rebounds, two assists and a steal.
Karsen Murphy, Sr., F/C
