Camden Braidech and the Chattanooga Mocs are in the one of the cradles of golf this week in the sandhills region of North Carolina.

First Look: The Chattanooga Mocs are back on the tee for the ninth time in 2024-25 for the Babygrande Golf Donald Ross Collegiate. The field takes on Mid Pines Golf Club in Southern Pines, N.C.
Ethan Whitaker goes in search of a third straight top 10 with a repeat starting lineup from the last trip to the South Carolina low country. He's joined by Braedon Wear, Camden Braidech, Garrett Engle and Dalton Chuba.
First Thought: "It's a great opportunity on a fun tract in Pinehurst this week. It feels like we are close to hitting our stride. That's not something we can make happen, we just need to keep doing what we do and let it happen. It will be fun to get out and compete."

What to Know
- Babygrande Golf is live streaming both days of the event joining a growing number of college broadcasts in recent years including MocsVision's own at the 2020 Scenic City Collegiate on ESPN+.
- Babygrande is utilizing its YouTube page with a broadcast team of former PGA TOUR players Tripp Isenhour and Steve Scott, longtime GOLF Channel broadcaster David Marr III and Virginia women's head coach Ria Scott.
- Sophomore Camden Braidech is on the Palmer Cup Watch List for the U.S. side. The Palmer Cup is an annual golf competition for college/university golfers. Since 2018, it is contested as the U.S. vs. the World. Congaree Golf Club in Ridgeland, S.C., is this year's host course (June 5-7).
- The team has two wins on the year with sweeps of team and medalist trophies at the Qubein Cup and Bentwater Intercollegiate. The squad has never completed three sweeps.
- Braidech won at the Qubein, his first collegiate title while Wear and Whitaker shared honors at Bentwater. It was the second win for Wear and first for Whitaker.
- Last time with three team wins in a season? 2022-23 (4).
- Last time with medalists in three different tournaments? 2016-17 [Wes Gosselin (Mobile Sports Authority Int.), Brooks Thomas (USA Ind.) and Etienne Brault (Trevecca Inv.)].
- 3rd season under Coach Blaine Woodruff, 34th event. Program has eight team wins and seven medalists (in 6 events) over that stretch.
- Another win for Braidech, Wear or Whitaker would make them the first Moc since A.J. Lintunen in 2020-21 to win multiple times in a season.
