CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- Chattanooga junior
Taylor Long snared the final Pitcher of the Week nod by the Tennessee Sports Writers Association.

Long came in to start the bottom of the fifth and after loading the bases, struck out the final three batters of the inning. She would go on to strike out eight of the final nine batters she faced and clinch the Southern Conference title outright for the Mocs.

The Calhoun, Ga., native struck out 18 over 12 and 1/3 innings in three appearances for a 0.57 ERA.

She was named to the All-Southern Conference Second Team on Tuesday and the Mocs will play Thursday, May 8 at 10:00 a.m. after receiving a first-round bye.
