BIRMINGHAM, Ala. --- The Chattanooga Mocs women's indoor track and field team delivered a strong outing at the Samford Invite Friday afternoon, highlighted by numerous personal records across sprints and distance events. The meet served as another key building block for the Mocs as they continue to develop momentum early in the indoor season.

Chattanooga's distance squad produced one of its strongest showings of the season in both the mile and 3000‑meter races.

Maddie Wheatcroft continues to lead the Mocs in the distance events placing fifth in the 3000 meter run clocking a personal best in at 9:56.30.
Leah Boyd Mitchell was right on her heels in seventh with her own PR at 9:59.69

Additional PRs came from
Lola Baker (10:41.09),
Scarlett Nash (10:51.17), and
Ellie von Herrmann (11:06.97), while
Andrea Ellis (10:39.63) and
Emma Thweatt (11:02.48) added strong contributions to a deep UTC lineup.

The Mocs placed four athletes under 5:30 in the mile, highlighted by
Audrey Wade, who finished 24th in 5:25.34. Three athletes posted new personal records:
Bella King (26th, 5:26.28),
Aubrey Park (27th, 5:28.12), and
Maya McCloskey (30th, 5:28.75).

UTC opened the day with a solid showing in the 60‑meter dash, where
Ryleigh Simmons posted a time of 7.79. Simmons returned later in the 200 meters, placing 16th in 25.31 to lead the Mocs.
Kolbee Webb earned a personal best of 27.26, while
Ava McGue finished in 27.74.

In the 400 meters,
Ava McGue paced Chattanooga, clocking 1:03.67 for 32nd.
Brooke Webb followed closely behind with a personal‑best 1:04.96, while
Aalvinee Torrance (1:05.26) and
Norah Haney (1:05.73) rounded out a tight pack of Mocs quarter‑milers.

The Mocs closed the track action with a 12th‑place finish in the 4x400 relay, as McGue, Haney, Webb, and Torrance combined for a time of 4:21.39.

In the jumps, McGue led Chattanooga in the long jump with a mark of 4.98m (16‑04.25) to place 15th, followed by
Halle Carden, who landed at 4.93m (16‑02.25) for 18th. Carden later earned a tie for 6th in the high jump with a clearance of 1.56m (5‑01.25) before adding a 13th‑place finish in the triple jump at 10.71m (35‑01.75).

The Mocs return to action at the start of February with the UAB Green and Gold Invite Feb. 6-7 at the Birmingham CrossPlex.
