Overview
Mason Reiniche won his first Southern Conference honor while leading the Chattanooga Mocs to a strong road performance last weekend. Reiniche was dominant in his three bouts as the squad swept all 30 matchups shutting out VMI, Campbell and Presbyterian. The three wins rose the squad to second in the league at 5-1, a half-match behind Appalachian State (5-0).
 
The Mocs and Mountaineers meet Sunday in Maclellan Gym with first place on the line. The match starts at 2 p.m.

• The fourth SoCon WOTW Award is the most since Ruschell's first campaign in 2018-19: Fabian Gutierrez (Nov. 7), Jake Huffine (Dec. 26), Alonzo Allen (Jan. 9) & Connor Tolley (Feb. 13).
• Seventh time with four or more in a season: 6-2005-06 & 2013-14; 5-2004-05; 4-2014-15, 2017-18, 2018-19 & 2025-26.
• Third time with four or different winners: 2004-05, 2018-19 & 2025-26.
• Led the squad to a 145-0 road trip: 46-0 at VMI, 47-0 at Campbell & 52-0 vs Presbyterian. The 52 spot is the highest total since a 52-0 triumph over Davidson in 1994.
• That's 32 straight individual match wins for the squad as a whole. That's a record streak eclipsing 30 in 2022. They did it with 56 bonus points added for an average of 4.75 points per win.
• Second 3-match shutout streak in school history. The last time the Mocs was Feb. 13-18, 2022. Those wins came at home over VMI (47-0) and Presbyterian (49-0) before going on the road to topple Bellarmine (44-0).
• Reiniche improved to 10-8 on the season, 7-4 in duals and 4-2 vs SoCon opposition winning four of his last five.
• He became the 11th Moc to record double-digit victories on the season.
