Breakdown
- The two teams split the dual 5-5 on matches with each getting three bonus points. The Bulldogs got all three on DesRosier's pin, while the Mocs got two by Rule's tech fall and one via Mason's major decision.
- It was a hard-fought bout with the Mocs just missing major decisions late in periods finishing off shots, while the Mocs survived the buzzer at 174.
- Liddie's win over No. 25 Kyrel Leavell was his second ranked win, first in a dual. It was also his team-high 17th of the season.
- The tally through six matches was 11-12 through 197 after Rule's dominant performance. The Bulldogs took control after back-to-back sudden victory OT wins at 285 and 125.
- Uhorchuk got the bout turned back in the right direction just missing a major decision. Mason closed it out with a major.
- The Mocs had 11 takedowns to the Bulldogs eight and scored eight points during the dual on stall penalties. The match points scored went 63-44 Chattanooga's way.
- Liddie's win over Leavell avenged a major decision loss in the Southern Scuffle.
