CHATTANOOGA (February 18, 2026) --- The Chattanooga Mocs men's basketball team will hit its final road leg of the Southern Conference regular season with an extended weekend trip beginning at Mercer in Macon, Ga., on Thursday night and concluding at The Citadel in Charleston, S.C., on Saturday afternoon.
 
Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. (ET) on Thursday night inside Hawkins Arena while Saturday's contest will tip at 1 p.m. (ET). Both games can be found LIVE on ESPN+.

MOCS FALL AT HOME TO WESTERN CAROLINA
• Chattanooga (10-17, 4-10 SoCon) started slow before a second-half surge fell just short in an 81-76 loss at home to Western Carolina on Satur­day... UTC trailed by as many as 18 in the second half before trimming it to as little as three.
• The loss marked just the eighth for Chattanooga on its home court against Western Carolina in the series' history... UTC entered 41-7 against the Catamounts at home.
• Chattanooga was -15 (41-26) in total rebounds... -12 (18-6) on the offensive glass... -15 margin marked the largest since -16 (41-25) at UNCG in SoCon opener on New Year's Day... -10 (20-10) in second-chance points.
 
MERCER SCOUT
• Mercer (17-10, 9-5 SoCon) is coming into the contest winners of its last two after snapping a two-game skid... won at home over Furman (W, 69-64) last Wednesday... won on the road at The Citadel (W, 70-54) on Satur­day... Bears currently sit in a tie for second, two games back of leader ETSU.
• Mercer is a perfect 12-0 this season on its home floor... 6-0 in SoCon play thus far... +24.6 average margin of victory at home for the Bears.
• 19-6 inside Hawkins Arena under second-year head coach Ryan Ridder... UTC fell 99-94 in OT last season during its annual trip to Hawkins Arena.
• Chattanooga has won three-straight over Mercer in the series... last two included a 79-75 win on February 5 inside McKenzie Arena... the other was a 76-61 decision in the SoCon Tournament Quarterfinals last March.

JOSH 'BLOCK'MAN SETS RECORD
• Chattanooga true freshman Josh Bowman recorded three more blocks against WCU on Saturday... eighth multi-block game of the season.
• Bowman's 21 blocks this season marks a new UTC freshman single-sea­son record... surpassed Sam Alexis' 19 blocks as a rookie in 2022-23.
