KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (February 18, 2026) – The Chattanooga Mocs men's tennis team fell 6-1 on the road at SEC-member Tennessee on Wednesday evening during non-conference action in Knoxville, Tenn.
 
Following the defeat, Chattanooga falls to 1-4 with a pair of matches on tap this weekend. Tennessee improves to 6-4 this season after securing a victory over UTC in the first meeting between the two teams since 2010.
 
Match Recap
Chattanooga took the doubles point with the help of Jakub Jupa and Cortland Grove dominating at No. 1, defeating Dragos Cazacu and Piotr Siekanowicz 6-1, to set the tone. The No. 3 pairing of Jaxon Lamb and Carter Ramthun followed with a 6-3 win over Alejandro Moreno and Boruch Skierkier to clinch the team point.
 
Tennessee swept the singles matches, beginning with Jan Kobierski's 6-4, 6-1 win over Grove at No. 3. Muza increased Tennessee's lead with a 6-1, 6-3 victory against Kincses at No. 5 while Moreno added a point at No. 1, defeating Jupa 6-4, 6-4.
 
Skierkier extended the lead for Tennessee at No. 4, securing a 6-3, 6-3 win over Martin Delnido. Jose Garcia contributed another victory for Tennessee with a 7-5, 6-4 result against Franzmann at No. 2. The final singles match concluded with Itsusaki overcoming TJ Ryerson 7-6(1), 7-5 at No. 6, sealing Tennessee's clean sweep in singles play.
