Quotable
"We got to our offense early and often in that first round. We really liked how our guys came out." –
Coach Kyle Ruschell on the strong start to the championships
Â
"That's the opportunity ahead. Championships are won on the back side, so everybody's got to come back and take third. We need to look for bonus points when we can and see what happens." –

Breakdown
- Nine semifinalists are the most since 2013 (9).
- Four finalists for second straight year.
- Uhorchuk had the most exciting path to the finals. After an easy quarterfinal first period tech fall, he outlasted 3 seed Jarvis Little of App State. The duo completed seven minutes at 1-1. That score stayed even at 1-1 after the 2-minute overtime. The 30-second takedown period saw Uhorchuk go first and take 25 seconds to make his mistake. He then kept control of Little for 28-29 seconds to get the win.
- Flynn cruised through the quarterfinals with a first period fall setting the tone for the day in the Mocs first match. He then got the lone takedown in a 4-2 decision over defending champ Gylon Sims to move to his first final since finishing runner-up at the 2024 ACC Championships for Virginia Tech.
- Rule earned back-to-back tech falls in a dominant march to the finals, while Vergara started with a decision win before an injury default in a lively first period got him past 2 seed Daulton Mayer of Bellarmine into the finals.
- The Mocs went 14-6 on the day. Of the 14 triumphs, seven had bonus points attached with four tech falls, two pins and the injury default.
- Chattanooga has won this event an unprecedented 29 times in just 48 prior trips. They're going for their first since 2015.
