Mia Leone belted her fifth home run of the season in the Mocs 10-1, six-inning loss at Western Carolina Sunday afternoon. UTC drops to 18-24-1 on the year and 6-9 against the Southern Conference.

Leone hit a shot to deep left center to lead off the second, giving Chattanooga an early 1-0 advantage.
Taylor Long struck out three in the first two innings and had five Ks in the game.

Western Carolina scored twice in the third, two more in the fourth and made it an 8-1 game in the fifth. A two-run home run in the sixth ended the game with a 10-1 final.

The Mocs had four hits led by
Chloe Lackey who went 2-for-2 with a double and a walk. Leone was 1-for-3 with a homer and
Ava Cowart went 1-for-3 with a lead off hit.

Chattanooga returns home to host Jacksonville State Wednesday, April 22. First pitch is slated for 5:00 p.m. Tickets are on sale at GoMocs.com or the Frost Stadium ticket booth one hour prior to first pitch.
