Prior to Chattanooga
- Played at North Murray in Chatsworth, Ga....multi-dimensional performer for Coach Preston Poag...played quarterback, safety, wide receiver, punter and kick returner during his career with the Mountaineers.
- Accumulated 3,435 yards of total offense as a senior responsibility for 47 touchdowns...ran for 2,138 yards and 32 scores...throw for another 1,080 yards with 13 TDs...added two more receiving TDs while gaining 217 yards on receptions.
- Region 7-AA Player of the Year...first team All-State as a senior.
- Also played basketball...second team all-region point guard.
