2010 • SOPHOMORE SEASON: Saw action in four games at right guard ... made the Dean's List both semesters.  

2009 • REDSHIRT SEASON: Did not play in 2009 after suffering a knee injury during offseason workouts.

2008 • FRESHMAN SEASON: Saw action in four games with one start as a true freshman.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played offensive lineman throughout career at Walton High School in Marietta, Ga...led his team to a 12-2 mark and the state semifinals as a senior...First Team All-Cobb County...Second Team All-Atlanta Metro Area...earned all-state recognition and invited to play in the North-South Georgia All-Star game...coached at Walton by Ed Dudley...came to UTC with Walton teammates Robert Harrison and J.J. Jackson.

PERSONAL: Born Sept. 8, 1989...son of John and Marcia Gipson...has one older brother....majoring in Finance.
