2014 • SENIOR SEASON:  Played in all 14 games with 13 starts at right end on the defensive line ... 20 tackles, including 10 solos ... also had 3.5 TFLs and a 1/2-sack ... made the Dean's List in the fall ... made the SoCon Honor Roll and earned the SoCon Commissioner's Medal.

2013 • JUNIOR SEASON:  Missed the entire 2013 season with an injury ... made the Dean’s List in the fall ... made the SoCon Honor Roll and earned the SoCon Commissioner’s Medal.

2012 • SOPHOMORE SEASON:  Played in all 11 games off the bench … finished with 22 tackles, five TFLs and two sacks … forced a fumble against Glenville State … recovered a fumble against Georgia Southern … added two hurries … had five tackles and a sack against Samford … made the Dean’s List in the spring.

2011 • FRESHMAN SEASON:  Off the bench at defensive end in nine games ... made 10 tackles, including four for loss ... posted a sack at Elon.

2010 • REDSHIRT SEASON: Sat out as a redshirt.

HIGH SCHOOL: Three-time all-region performer from McMinn Central High School in Englewood, Tenn. ... all-region as a linebacker during his senior season ... played for head coach and UTC graduate Josh Goodin ... Offensive Player of the Year at quarterback as a senior ... two-year letter winner in basketball and baseball ... all-region player in baseball ... graduated in the top 10% of his class ... earned the football team’s Scholar Award.

PERSONAL:  Born Oct. 6, 1990 ... son of David and Bridgette Rayl and Trish Watson ... father played tight end for the Mocs for two seasons ... oldest of five with two younger brothers, Ryan and Gabe, and two younger sisters, Amanda and Ashlyn ... graduated with a degree in Integrated Studies in the fall of 2014.
