Josh enters his fifth year as an assistant athletic trainer working with the wrestling team and tennis programs. Prior to UTC, Josh was an assistant athletic trainer at ETSU working with the football and men’s tennis programs from 2020-2022.

Petty started his career as an athletic training intern at Louisiana Tech working with football and women’s bowling from 2018-2020. He also completed a summer internship with the Los Angeles Rams in the summer of 2017.

He earned his Bachelor degree in Exercise Science from ETSU in 2016. He completed his Master's in Athletic Training from Chattanooga in 2018. Josh is certified in Fascial Abrasion Technique, RockTape IASTM and Master Dry Needling Level 1.

Josh is originally from Soddy-Daisy, TN and in his free time he enjoys spending time with family, golfing, hiking and watching motorsport racing. He and his wife MaKinzie have one dog, Phoenix.
