In the opening set, the Lady Mocs saw Kennesaw State jump out to a quick 3-0 lead; however, UTC would be unfazed by the run, as Chattanooga responded with six straight points of its own. From there the Lady Mocs continued to pour it on the Owls as the Lady Mocs led by as much as 11 points. Lara Newberry would end the set with her seventh service ace of the season, to end the first set, 25-16. Scott led all players with seven kills in the set, while Cassie Conner had a set-high 11 assists.?

The second set featured a much closer bout between the Owls and Lady Mocs, as both teams fought to a 16-all tie. Chattanooga would then break the tie with three straight points, two coming from a Barnes service ace and a Chastain kill. Chattanooga would eventually put the set away with a Kullak kill to take the frame 25-21, and go up 2-0.?

In what would be the final set, the Lady Mocs' offense overpowered the Owls with 18 kills on 32 attempts, while only committing one error, as UTC pounded out a season-high .531 hitting percentage. The Lady Mocs would open up the frame in a flurry with three quick points to take the early lead. Kennesaw State would answer with two of its own to come within one, but that would be as close as the Owls came to the Lady Mocs as KSU would score only 10 more points in the set. Leading the way for UTC in the set was Chastain, who had six kills.?
