- The Mocs open SoCon play with an 81-69 win over Appalachian State...UTC is 3-5 overall.
- UTC is now 628-379 as a DI program (34th season).
- Head Coach John Shulman is 108-95 in his seventh year...55-52 in SoCon action.
- The Mocs' 81 points is a season-high.
- UTC trailed 45-40 after a Donald Sims jumper at the 16:12 mark in the second half...UTC then scored points on its next nine possessions to spark a 22-5 run to take control of the game...Chattanooga ended the run on a Josh Odem 3-pointer with 10:58 left in the game.
- Chattanooga shot a season-high 48.3% (29-60) from the floor and 40.0% (10-25) from 3-pt. range.
- 10 three-pointers made marks 33rd straight game with five or more treys, 4th longest such streak in country.
- UTC dominated the glass, out rebounding the smaller Mountaineers 42-33. UTC turned that into an 18-9 advantage in second -chance points...UTC also held a 32-26 advantage in points in the paint.
- The Mocs' bench outscored ASU's subs 24-9.
- UTC opens SoCon play with a win for the first time since 2007-08 when they defeated The Citadel 87-74 on Dec. 1 to start league play.
- Chattanooga improves to 41-28 all-time against ASU, including 24-7 in the Scenic City...UTC is now 7-1 in McKenzie Arena against the Mountaineers under head coach John Shulman.

Junior Keegan Bell
- Game-high and career-high 13 assists.
- Just two turnovers in 38 minutes.
- Added four points and five rebounds.
- Has 26 assists and just three turnovers in 97 minutes in the Mocs' three wins.
- 5th game with 6+ assists on the season.
Junior Jahmal Burroughs
- Career-high six rebounds.
- Added five points on 2-3 shoots, 1-2 from 3-pt. range.
Junior Chris Early
- Tied a career-high with 13 points.
- Shot 5-10 from the field, 1-5 from 3-pt. range and 2-2 from the FT line.
- Added seven rebounds.
Senior DeAntre Jefferson
- Fourth game of the season in double digits with 11 points.
- Shot 4-6 from the field and 3-8 from the FT line.
- Added six rebounds.
Junior Ricky Taylor
- Fourth game of the season in double digits with 13 points.
- Shot 5-10 from the floor, 1-1 from 3-pt. range and 2-2 from the FT line.
- Tied a season-high with five rebounds.
Junior Omar Wattad
- Hit the 20-pt. mark for the second time this season with a team-high 21.
- Shot 6-12 from the field, 5-10 from 3-pt. range and 4-4 from the FT line.
- Has hit double-figures in five straight games.
