On the first win of the season:
“It was an awesome win for the team. We are excited to beat a good team on the road.”

On individual highlights from the match:
“We had a big serving effort from Andrea Johnson. We scored a lot of points on her serve. She came in under a lot of pressure and scored a lot points from the service line for us. They had a hard time handling her serve.

“I am really proud of our freshman. I really liked the way we ended the match as Jennifer Kuroski had a hard, clean, on the line kill. It was nice to get that 15th point from not a mistake they made, but something positive that we did.”

On coming back down 2-1 in the match:
“That fourth set was huge. We did that behind Andrea's serving again. It was really impressive. I think our passing kind of shutdown earlier, but I think we picked it back up.

"I think Bailee did a fantastic job and I saw a lot of senior leadership on the court with Jess (Scott), Bailee (Chastain) and Courtney (Barnes) stepping up and demanding that all the players pull together to get this win.”

On Jessica Scott's performance:
“Offensively it was. She did a fantastic job. If we can consistently get double-digit kills from her, then I think we have a chance to be successful in the conference.”
