The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's tennis team grabbed a flight win in doubles action at the Duckworth Fall Classic in Clemson, S.C., today. Senior Emily Hangstefer (Signal Mountain, Tenn.) and sophomore Alexa Flynn (Memphis, Tenn.) teamed up to win the Silver Doubles draw.
Hangstefer and Flynn defeated Kennesaw State's Therese Lagerkvist and Tamara Plocher 8-0 in the first round. They followed that with an 8-5 win over UT Martin's Anna Winkleman and Alice Liang in the semifinals and defeated Armstrong Atlantic's Marlen Hacke and Olga Kalodzitsa 8-6 in the finals.
Seniors Shaina Singh (Vancouver, B.C.) and Charlotte Bossy (Koekelare, Belgium) advanced to the finals of the Bronze Draw while junior Jenna Nurik (Roswell, Ga.) and freshman Kaylene Chadwell (Franklin, Tenn.) finished seventh in the Organe Draw.
