The Chattanooga Mocs volleyball team is set to travel to Johnson City, Tenn., for a rematch with in-state rival East Tennessee State on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.
The Mocs captured a 3-1 (26-28, 25-23, 25-21, 25-20) over the Buccaneers on Sept. 30 inside Maclellan Gym for their first Southern Conference win of the season.
"We are excited to be back on the road against a great opponent," coach
Travis Filar noted. "It will be a test for sure, but I know we will be prepared.
"Our team has developed a mindset about playing on the road and we have consistently came into practice more focused since conference play begun."

ETSU picked up two wins in two matches after falling to the Mocs on Sept. 30. They earned a 3-2 victory over Western Carolina and a sweep over UNC-Greensboro. Their other conference win came in five sets over Samford and the other loss was another five set match, this time against Furman, both on the road. The Buccaneers hold the most efficient hitting percentage in the conference at .236, lead in assists per set at 13.12 and kills per set at 14.02. Offensively, they are led by senior Briana Allmon who has accumulated 246 kills at a 3.84 average and a .242 attacking percentage. They are directed by a duo of sophomore Alyssa Kvarta and senior Kristen Favre who have amassed 379 and 368 assists on the year, respectively. Defensively, sophomore libero Hailey Aguilar paces the team with 246 digs (3.90/set) while freshman Kaela Massey ranks second in the SoCon averaging 1.21 blocks/set (76.0 total).
