The Chattanooga Mocs volleyball team is set to wrap up its Southern Conference road schedule with a pair of matches this weekend. On Friday, they'll travel to Spartanburg, S.C., to face Wofford at 6 p.m. before heading to Cullowhee, N.C., for a 7 p.m. match against Western Carolina on Saturday.
The Mocs are coming off a 2-0 weekend on the road as they swept Furman 3-0 (25-16, 25-19, 25-23) last Friday and battled for a 3-2 (24-26, 25-21, 12-25, 25-16, 17-15) comeback win over The Citadel on Saturday. The win at Furman was the first time the Mocs won in Greenville since Nov. 6, 1999.
"We have had a lot of adversity this year but our team and staff have stayed the course and our play is really improving," said coach
Travis Filar. "I'm really happy with the growth of this team and we are starting to consistently play our best volleyball of the year at the most important time.
"We're excited to be back on the road to continue to improve one point and match at a time."
