The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's basketball team will close out its non-conference slate with a matchup Friday afternoon at Presbyterian College in Clinton, S.C.

CHATTANOOGA vs. PRESBYTERIAN
This will be the first meeting between Chattanooga and the Blue Hose.

SCOUTING CHATTANOOGA
The Mocs are 5-8 overall and looking to snap a two-game losing skid. In its last outing UTC fell to No. 2 Notre Dame at the Roundhouse. The Mocs averaged just over 59 points per game and allow their opponents 63.2 per game. They average 6.2 3-pointers per game, making 28.9 percent of their attempts. Chattanooga is 72.4 percent from the free throw line, making 9.2 per game. On the boards, UTC averages 32.4 rebounds per game and has 149 assists this season. The Mocs average 5.8 steals and 5.7 blocked shots per game.

Senior Queen Alford led the Mocs in scoring in each of the last two games and had a season-high 24 points against Notre Dame in their last outing. She leads the team with 11.5 points per game and is third on the team in rebounding and second for 3-pointers made. Senior Jasmine Joyner is second on the team in scoring with 10.4 points per game and has a team-high 9.1 rebounds and 49 blocked shots.Freshman Lakelyn Bouldin leads UTC in 3-pointers made with 27 this season, shooting 39.1 percent from beyond the arc. She is third on the team in scoring with 10.2 points per game and is shooting 75 percent from the free throw line. Juniors Chelsey Shumpert and Keiana Gilbert average 9.6 and 8.2 points per game and have a combined 68 assists.Gilbert is second on the team in rebounding with five per game while Shumpert is shooting 90 percent from the free throw line.

Head Coach Jim Foster has 870 career wins and ranks eighth all-time in the NCAA for total wins. He is in his fourth year with the Mocs and has led UTC to three straight Southern Conference titles and NCAA Tournament appearances. Chattanooga was picked to retain its SoCon title by the league coaches.

SCOUTING PRESBYTERIAN
The Blue Hose are 2-8 with wins over SoCon foe UNCG and N.C. Central, both on the road. Presbyterian is averaging 53 points per game, outscored by nearly 15 ppg by its opponents. They are shooting 35 percent from the field and 27.8 percent from the 3-point line. However, they are averaging 7.1 long range shots per game. From the free throw line, the Blue Hose are making 73.3 percent of their attempts, 9.9 per game. On the boards, Presbyterian is averaging 27 rebounds per game while its opponents are pulling down 40.4 an outing. PC has 10.8 assists, 16.6 turnovers, 5.4 steals and 1.2 blocked shots per game.

Courtney Storey is the lone Blue Hose player in double figures with 12 points per game and is second in rebounding with 4.0 per game. Janie Miles is second on the team in scoring with 9.8 points and leads the team in rebounding with 4.1 per game. She leads the team in 3-point shooting with 15 on the year. Taylor Petty is third on the team in scoring with 9.2 points per game with 13 3-pointers.

Head Coach Todd Steelman is in his first season with the Blue Hose and his first as a head coach.
