Freshman Bogdana Zaporozhets almost pulled off a big upset in the quarterfinals of the ITA Ohio Valley Regional in Murfreesboro, Tenn., today.  She dropped a three-setter to ETSU's second-seed Ioanna Markesini (6-0, 4-6, 6-0). 

Junior Caroline Hall led the Mocs with a win in the Main Flight backdraw.  She beat Western Kentucky's Violetta Shatalova (7-6 (2), 6-3).  Zaporozhets advanced to the quarters after posting a win over MTSU's Constanza Magazzini (7-5, 6-4).

"Bogdana is just improving every single day," stated UTC head coach Chad Camper.  "She is going to have a great year with more to come.  Caroline Hall also had a nice win over Western Kentucky in today's action."

Sophomore Annie Tarwater also scored a win in the B Flight.  She defeated Belmont's Nikki Christense (6-3, 7-6 (9).
