SCHEDULE NOTES
After Saturday's game, the Mocs return home to take on UCF in Maclellan Gym, in a "Back to the Mac" matchup. Following that UTC heads to Florida to take on Stetson before returning home for an 11:00 a.m. game against Presbyterian at the Roundhouse. The next day the Mocs will head to Indiana and then return to Tennessee for a three-game "Challenge in Music City" where they will take on Northwestern, Georgetown and Auburn.

Mocs Picked to finish Second • The Mocs were picked to finish second in the Southern Conference preseason poll by both the SoCon Coaches and Media. Chattanooga tied Mercer in each of the last two seasons. The Bears were picked to finish first in both polls.

Two Named to Preseason All-Conference Team • Keiana Gilbert and Lakelyn Bouldin were both selected to the Southern Conference Preseason All-Conference Team. Gilbert was an all-conference performer last season while Bouldin was named to the All-Freshman Team.

Foster Nearing 900 • Jim Foster has accumulated 886 wins over 39 seasons. He ranks sixth among active coaches and seventh among all coaches. His overall record is 886-334 (.726). He was the 39th fastest to 600 wins, 17th fastest to 700 and 13th fastest to 800.

Foster Reaches 100 at Chattanooga • In Chattanooga's final regular season game, Foster guided the Mocs to their 100th win with him at the helm. His record at UTC is 103-27 in four years.

Sister Act • Two of Chattanooga's returning starters are sisters Aryanna and
Keiana Gilbert. Aryanna took a redshirt in her sophomore year while Keiana was a freshman and the two are now seniors.

Postseason Award Winners • Keiana Gilbert was named to the SoCon Coaches All-Conference Third Team. Lakelyn Bouldin earned a spot on the SoCon Coaches and Media All-Freshman Team and was named to the SoCon All-Tournament Second Team.

Gilbert Hits Mileston in Final Game • Keiana Gilbert topped the 1,000-point mark in the Mocs' loss at Louisville in the NCAA Tournament. She has 1,003 points

Bouldin Breaks Freshman Record • Lakelyn Bouldin made 64 3-pointers, passing Brooke Hand's (2004-08) previous best of 56 set in the 2004-05 season. Hand went on to set the UTC and then-SoCon record for career 3-pointers with 315.

Full Slate • The Mocs have 28 games on the scheudle this season with 14 non-conference and 14 against the Southern Conference.

Non-Conference Slate • The Mocs will host UCF (see note below), Presbyterian (see note), UT Martin, Virginia Tech and Florida Gulf Coast. On the road, UTC will travel to Green Bay, Stetson and Indiana. The Mocs will participate in two regular season tournaments.

Southern Conference • The 2017-18 schedule features 14 SoCon matchups with seven at home and seven away. UTC has won five consecutive SoCon regular season and tournament titles. The Mocs won 11 straight from 2000-2010.

Back to the Mac • The Mocs will host UCF in Maclellan Gym on Monday, November 13. Chattanooga's last full season in Maclellan Gym was 1997-98. Wes Moore moved the Mocs to the McKenzie Arena full time in his second sesaon (1999-2000). In his first season, the home games were split between the two venues.

Eye-Opener • The Mocs will host Presbyterian College at 11:00 a.m. on November 18 due to a schedule conflict with a home football game.

Tournament Time • Chattanooga will participate in two regular season tournaments this season. The Music City Challenge will take place the weekend after Thanksgiving. It features the Mocs, Georgetown, Northwestern and Auburn. The round robin event will be played at the Nashville Municipal Center. The Gator Holiday Classic, hosted by the University of Florida, will be played in Gainesville, Fla., in December. The Mocs will take on Florida and Princeton.

Mid-Major Ranked Opponents • Four teams on Chattanooga's slate finished last season ranked in the College Insider Mid-Major Top 25. Green Bay finished fourth in the ranking. Florida Gulf Coast, winners of the ASUN Tournament, ranked 10th. Stetson, ASUN regular season champions, ranked 17th. Mercer is the only other SoCon team besides UTC in the rankings, finishing the season 18th.

Doubled-Up • The 2017-18 schedule features seven home double-headers with the men's basketball team. Both teams will host UT Martin on December 2. Other double-header dates include 12/10 vs.

SoCon Tournament • The SoCon Tournament will return to the U.S. Cellular Center in Asheville, N.C. The women's tournament is March 1 - 4.

Regular Season Titles • The Mocs have won 21 regular season SoCon titles including the last five. Sharon Fanning won the first three beginning in 1984. Craig Parrott won two in his tenure. Wes Moore, the winningest women's basketball coach in SoCon history, led the Mocs to 12 in 15 years.
Jim Foster has won the regular season in each of his four seasons at Chattanooga.

Staff Changes • With the departure of John McCray to Florida and Brianna Sanders to Akron,
Jim Foster made a few changes. Jonathan Goldberg moved from Director of Student-Athlete Development to Assistant Coach. Former Mocs
Ka'Vonne Towns filled his former position.
Debbie Black is the new Director of Operations.

Following a Legend • Debbie Black has been with Foster at each stop along his career. She played for him at St. Joe's and was on his staff at Vanderbilt and Ohio State. She played professionally in Australia, for the American Basketball League and the WNBA. In 2001, at the age of 35, she was earned Defensive Player of the Year honors.

SoCon Tournament Crowns • The Mocs are winners of 18 SoCon Tournament crowns. Fanning won the first three. Craig Parrot won two and led UTC to the first NCAA Tournament appearance by a SoCon women's team. Wes Moore claimed nine of UTC's 18 and
Jim Foster has led the Mocs to four in his four seasons.

20 Wins • The Mocs topped the 20-win mark for the 21st season since 1974-75 and fifth straight. Sharon Fanning had three 20-win seasons, Craig Parrott had one, Wes Moore topped 20 wins 13 times in 15 years and
Jim Foster has reached the mark all three seasons at UTC. He has record 20 or more wins 26 times over his career and had more than 30 wins four times.

Opponents Not Welcome • The Mocs have won 50 consecutive SoCon games at home dating back to the 2010-11 season. Chattanooga's last loss was against App. State on Feb. 14, 2011.

Long-Range Bombers • The Mocs have made at least one 3-pointer in 562 consecutive games dating back to December 1999. Chattanooga reached the 500-game mark against Butler in its second game this year.
