CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's basketball team will close out the non-conference portion of its schedule Thursday afternoon at the McKenzie Arena with a 2:00 p.m. matchup against Hampton.

CHATTANOOGA vs. HAMPTON
This will be the second meeting between the Mocs and Pirates. UTC and Hampton faced off in the final day of the Sonesta Coconut Grove Classic in Coconut Grove, Fla., in 2003. After falling to Butler the day before, former head coach Wes Moore shook up the lineup. The Mocs came away with an 88-57 victory over Hampton, sparking a school-record 27-game win streak the concluded with Chattanooga's NCAA first-round victory over Rutgers in 2004.

ABOUT CHATTANOOGA
The Mocs are 8-5 overall sporting wins over Indiana, Northwestern, Georgetown, Auburn and Florida. UTC is shooting 41.9 percent from the field, averaging 59 points per game and leads the SoCon from beyond the arc, shooting 38.3 percent.

Aryanna Gilbert put together back-to-back 20-point games and leads Chattanooga with 14.5 points per game. She tallied her first career double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Mocs to a win over Florida and followed that with a 22-point game against Princeton.
Keiana Gilbert is second on the team in scoring with 13.3 points and leads the team with 5.9 rebounds per game.
Lakelyn Bouldin has a team-best 25 3-pointers and is third on the team in scoring with 12.5 points per game.
Arianne Whitaker recorded her first double-double at Chattanooga with 10 points and 10 rebounds against the Gators and followed that with 10 boards against the Tigers at the Gator Holiday Classic.

ABOUT HAMPTON
The Pirates (2-7) opened the season with a 70-66 victory against North Carolina but has managed just one more win in eight tries since. Hampton is shooting 37.9 percent from the field and averaging 62.8 points per game. They have 5.9 3-pointers per game and is averaging 27.9 percent from long range.

Jephany Brown leads the team with 13.5 points per game. Monnazjea Finney-Smith has a team-best 26 3-pointers, is second on the team in scoring with 12.8 points and leads the Pirates with 7.6 rebounds per game. Allina Starr is third on the team in scoring with 12.4 points per game and has a team-high 38 assists and 23 steals.
