2) Details
The Mocs hit the road in search of their first league win of the season. The start of conference play saw the squad beset by injuries, particularly in the frontcourt. There have been 38 man games lost to injury so far (17 -
Justin Brown, 10 -
Duane Moss, 5 -
Dylan Brewster, 4 -
James Lewis, Jr. & 2 -
Makinde London). All but five of the lost games are in the post.
Freshman center
Justin Brown has yet to see the floor and freshman forward
Duane Moss played in just the first seven both due to upper body injuries. Freshman forward
James Lewis, Jr., also sustained an upper body injury in the last game before the holiday break and missed the last four. Junior forward
Makinde London's lower body injury kept him out against Furman and if out on Saturday, limits the Chattanooga roster to just eight student-athletes again.
Of those eight, just five –
Jonathan Bryant II,
Rodney Chatman,
Nat Dixon,
Makale Foreman &
David Jean-Baptiste – were on the roster on Oct. 1.
