The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's tennis team wrapped up play at the ITA Ohio Valley Regionals at the Champions Club today. The Mocs won twice in consolation singles action.
Senior
Caroline Hall scored a win after Vanderbilt's Lauren Gish retired. Hall was up 3-0 in the first set in that match.
Freshman
Polina Goloputova had a straight-sets win against Wright State's Hailey Morgan (7-5, 6-0) for the Mocs second win of the day.
"Polina did a good job in singles and doubles this week," stated head coach
Chad Camper. She showed that she is someone who can play high up in the lineup.
"This was an educational weekend for all of us. It was good for the new girls to see some high-level play with the top teams that were here. It also shows up what we need to do to move forward as a program."
There is still plenty of action on Monday at the Champions Club. The players still alive will compete in the Main Draw and B Draw Finals.
