CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's basketball team will host 10
th-ranked NC State Friday, December 21 at the McKenzie Arena. This marks the first return to Chattanooga for former head coach Wes Moore. Mocs' current head coach
Katie Burrows played four seasons for Moore at Chattanooga and the pair led Chattanooga to four straight Southern Conference regular season and tournament titles. The Mocs advanced to the NCAA each year and posted an upset win over Rutgers in the 2004 tournament held at the Roundhouse.

CHATTANOOGA vs. NC STATE
The Mocs and Wolfpack met once on New Year's Eve 1977. Fifth-ranked N.C. State, coached by Kay Yow defeated the Mocs led by Sharon Fanning 80-67 in Chattanooga.
ABOUT CHATTANOOGA
The Mocs are 4-8 overall and averaging 59.1 points per game. Chattanooga is shooting 37.5 percent from the field 32 percent from beyond the arc. On the boards, the Mocs have topped the 40-rebound mark three times and average 33.8 per game.
Lakelyn Bouldin leads UTC with 13.3 points per game and has a team-high 23 3-pointers. She is 31-of-35 from the free throw line and has a SoCon-best 88.6 free throw percentage.
Eboni Williams recorded Chattanooga's first double-double of the year with 16 points and 10 rebounds, both career-highs for the rookie, against Belmont. She is second on the team in scoring with 7.5 points per game and leads the Mocs with 4.8 rebounds per game.
Brooke Burns and
Shelbie Davenport each average 7.3 points per game and she and
Abbey Cornelius are second on the team in rebounding with 3.5 per game.
Molly Melton has a team-best 23 assists and 19 steals while
Arianne Whitaker leads the Mocs with 15 blocked shots.

The Wolfpack is ranked 10
th in the AP Top 25 and the Coaches polls. Former Chattanooga head coach has led his team to an 11-0 start, tied for the best in the ACC along with Louisville. The Wolfpack leads the ACC in field goal percentage defense allowing foes to shoot just 33.3 percent and lead in rebounding with 45.7 per game. NCSU averages 76.8 points per game and outscores its opponents by 18.4 points per game.
Grace Hunter leads four Wolfpack players in double figures with 14.9 points per game and has 7.0 rebounds per game. Kiara Leslie has a team-best 8.6 rebounds per game and is second on the team in scoring with 14.2 points per game. Aislinn Konig has a team-high 38 3-pointers and is averaging 12.4 points per game while Elissa Cunane is third on the squad averaging 13 points per game.
