After falling at Mercer in a battle of the Southern Conference's top two teams, the Mocs rebounded and dominated the fourth quarter to get a 73-63 win over Samford and retains sole possession of second place in the league at 4-1. UTC is 9-11 overall and has won five of its last six games.

Chattanooga is averaging 62.5 points per game overall and 73.8 against the conference. On the boards, UTC is pulling down 34.5 rebounds per game and is shooting 39.9 percent from the field.

Lakelyn Bouldin leads the team with 12.8 points per game and a team-best 32 makes from beyond the 3-point line. She leads the SoCon in free throw shooting making 87 percent of her attempts.
Eboni Williams is second on the team in scoring with 8.2 points per game and has a team-best 5.2 rebounds per game.
Brooke Burns is averaging 7.9 points per game and is one of four Chattanooga players averaging double digits against the SoCon. She is shooting 42 percent from the field and has 40 assists.
Bria Dial has stepped up her 3-point shooting and has 20 on the year and 10 against the SoCon.
Arianne Whitaker leads the Mocs with 28 blocked shots and ranks sixth all-time at Chattanooga in two years.

WESTERN CAROLINA
The Catamounts are 4-16 overall and still in the hunt for a win against the Southern Conference at 0-5.

The team is averaging 56.2 points and 35.7 rebounds per game. WCU is shooting 37.1 percent from the field, 28.4 percent from long range and 63.6 percent from the free throw line.

Jewel Smalls is leading the team with 9.9 points per game, is one of three players with 4.5 rebounds per game and is one of two players to start all 20 games for the Cats. Tess Harris is second on the team in scoring with 8.6 points per game and has a team-high 37 3-pointers. Angel Allen, the second player to start all 20 games, is averaging 8.3 points, 4.5 rebounds per game and has 47 assists. Judith Martin Ruiz has a team-high 81 assists and is fourth on the team in scoring with 7.1 points per game and 11 blocked shots. Gabby Smith leads Western Carolina on the boards with 5.0 per game.
