CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- The Chattanooga women's basketball team will host Big 10 foe Purdue Thursday, November 14 at the McKenzie Arena. Special ticket pricing is in place for this event.

This will be the first meeting between the Mocs and Boilermakers. UTC is 5-5 against the current Big 10 membership including wins against Indiana and Northwestern in 2017.

The Mocs are 1-2 to start the season with a 71-54 win over Liberty Monday night. Chattanooga is averaging 58.7 points and 31.7 rebounds per game, are shooting 36.8 percent from the field and 34.3 percent from the 3-point line.

Perhaps an expected bright spot for the Mocs is sophomore forward
Abbey Cornelius who has led Chattanooga in scoring in each of the last two games, topping the 20-point mark. She is averaging a team-best 17.3 points and 7.0 rebounds per game. She has three steals and three blocked shots through three games.

Lakelyn Bouldin continues to climb in the Mocs' record books. She moved to 23
rd all-time for scoring at UTC, leads the Mocs in free throw percentage (.842) and is fifth all-time for 3-pointers made with 185. She led the Mocs in scoring in the season-opener at Belmont with 21 points and matched her career-best with seven assists at Liberty Monday night.

With 28 points so far this season, sophomore
Eboni Williams has reached 300 career points. She is shooting 80 percent from the free throw line and has four from distance so far this season.
Bria Dial drained four 3-pointers in UTC's win at Liberty, matching her career-best tallied against MTSU last year at the Fordham Holiday Classic.

Purdue opened the season Sunday with a 68-55 win over Milwaukee at home. The Boilermakers got off to an 8-0 start, making three of its first four attempts while Milwaukee missed on its three attempts and committed one turnover.

Dominique Oden led the team in scoring with 16 points and was 4-of-5 from long range. Kayana Traylor added 15 and Ae'Rianna Harris was the third Purdue player in double figures with 12 points. Harris had three blocked shots, all in the first half, while the team tallied six with four steals and forced 12 miscues. Traylor and Roxane Makolo each had five assists.

Katie Burrows announced the signing of Bradley Central standout Anna Walker to the 2020-21 squad in the early signing period.

Walker, a 6-1 forward helped lead the Bearettes to the 2019 TSSAA Class AAA state title over Houston High School last March. She was named to the TSSAA State All-Tournament team with 11.3 points per game, 13 blocked shots and five steals over three games.
