Volleyball Hosts The Citadel, Wofford for Senior Weekend

Chattanooga volleyball hosts The Citadel (Friday) and Wofford (Saturday) for Senior Weekend inside Maclellan Gym.

CHATTANOOGA --- With just two matches remaining on the regular season schedule, the Chattanooga Mocs volleyball team gets set to host The Citadel and Wofford and honor three seniors during an event-packed weekend inside Maclellan Gymnasium on Friday and Saturday.
 
Chattanooga welcomes The Citadel on Friday evening at 5 p.m. before Wofford comes to town for a Saturday showdown at 6 p.m.
 
Saturday's match will be SENIOR NIGHT as the program recognizes three stellar student-athletes in Brianna Anderson, Sarah Root and Dani Szczepanski ahead with a pre-match ceremony.

- Chattanooga leads the all-time series against The Citadel 30-2 (.938) and are 12-2 (.857) under head coach Travis Filar.
            » The Citadel won the season's first meeting, 3-2, in Charleston back on October 19.
- Chattanooga leads the all-time series against Wofford 29-10 (.744) and have posted an 8-7 (.533) record in the Filar era.
            » Wofford earned a 3-2 victory in the first matchup in Spartanburg, S.C., on October 18.
 
CHATTANOOGA NOTES
- Chattanooga looks to snap its losing skid this weekend… the Mocs have won eight of the last 10 meetings against The Citadel… split the previous 10 matchups against Wofford.
- Junior Megan Kaufman carries an active streak of 10-straight matches with at least 15 digs… posted back-to-back matches of 22 and 21 digs… just two matches this season finishing in single digits… sits just six digs shy of passing Melissa Green (1,341) and moving into 3rd all-time in program history (post-rally scoring era) in total digs.
- Sophomore Maia Rackel has combined for 40 kills over her last nine sets played… 16.0 total blocks in last 16 sets played… upped her season total to 72.0 total blocks.
- Dani Szczepanski posted 29 kills last weekend in a pair of matches at Furman and UNCG in nine sets… currently ranks 4th all-time in program history in career attack percentage (.301%), 7th in total blocks (280.0), 8th in block assists (233) and 8th in service aces (106).  

CITADEL & WOFFORD NOTES
- The Citadel enters the weekend on a three-match skid after winning six of its last eight previous matches… carries a 10-18 overall and 4-11 mark in conference play… the Bulldogs offense is led by junior Sharlissa De Jesus who ranks ninth in the SoCon with a 3.25 kills per set average… De Jesus leads the league in service aces behind a 0.45 per set average.
- Wofford has played to a 15-14 overall record and 8-7 tally against SoCon opponents… the Terriers enter the weekend winners of four of its last five including a 3-1 victory over The Citadel on Wednesday… Riley Coonan leads the SoCon in both efficiency and blocks with a .362% attack percentage and 1.20 blocks per set average, respectively.
