Women's Basketball Anne Wehunt

Mocs Host Northern Colorado at 1 p.m. Wednesday

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- The Chattanooga women's basketball team will host Big Sky foe Northern Colorado early Wednesday afternoon at the McKenzie Arena. Take a late lunch and watch the Mocs take on the Bears before heading home for the holiday.
 
This will be just the second meeting between the two teams. The Mocs made their first trip to Greeley, Colo., to take on UNC and fell by three points in an overtime nailbiter.
 
Chattanooga is 1-6 on the year with losses to Purdue and #8 Louisville. Abbey Cornelius led four players in double figures in UTC's resounding road win over Liberty. UTC is shooting 32.7 percent from the field and averaging 5.4 3-pointers per game.
 
Lakelyn Bouldin leads the team in scoring with 11.7 points per game and has a team-best 11 from long range. Eboni Williams is the Mocs' top rebounder with 6.4 per game and is second on the team in scoring (10.3) and assists (13). She has a team-best 10 steals and is shooting 32 percent. Cornelius is shooting 50.9 percent from the field with a pair of 20-point games and has a team-best six blocked shots.
 
Northern Colorado is 2-4 on the year. The Bears started the season with three straight losses before beating SMU on the road and Air Force at home. They are averaging 61.3 points and 38 rebounds per game. From the field they are shooting 36.1 percent  and average 5.2 3-pointers.
 
Alexis Chapman leads the team with 15 points per game and 16 3-pointers. Kadie Deaton is the only other player in double figures with 11.2 per game and is shooting 28.8 percent from the field, but has 29 makes – more than 43 percent of her points - from the charity stripe. She leads the Bears with 13 assists and seven steals. Alisha Davis leads on the boards with 6.3 rebounds per game and has 12 blocked shots.
