Mocs Club Day of Giving is This Saturday
The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga's Mocs Club announced plans for the second annual "Drive for 25" campaign. This Nov. 9 day of giving is centered around the home-opening doubleheader for the men's and women's basketball teams at McKenzie Arena.
Â
Last year was the first time that Chattanooga Athletics participated in a day of giving. The campaign was a major success with $25,000 raised. An anonymous donor matched the total gifts resulting in $50,000 in support for our student-athletes. The campaign received 126 gifts and welcomed 32 first-time donors in the process.
Â
The campaign again focuses on the Mocs' most crucial need; unrestricted dollars towards the annual budget enhancing the complete student-athlete experience. Unrestricted philanthropic gifts allow Vice Chancellor & Director of AthleticsÂ
Mark Wharton the ability to assess the most immediate needs of all 300+ student-athletes. Scholarship support, academic funding and strength and conditioning upgrades are all areas impacted by these gifts.
