The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's tennis team's match with USC-Upstate has moved from Saturday, Feb. 23, to Sunday, Feb. 24, at the UTC Tennis Center. This is the Mocs' first home dual at the new facility with first serve set for 10:00 a.m. (E.S.T.).
Sunday's action is a doubleheader with the men's teams who start their match at 2:00 p.m. UTC also has a home dual against UT Martin on Monday, Feb. 25 at 2:00 p.m., also at the UTC Tennis Center.
Chattanooga has won five in a row and is 5-2 on the season. Senior
Caroline Hall and sophomore
Emma Van Hee have won five straight singles matches. Van Hee and senior
Delaney Edwards are 4-2 at No. 1 doubles.
The Spartans are 1-6 overall and looking to snap a four-match slide. Their lone win came against Belmont Abbey (7-0) on Feb. 2. The have also faced Southern Conference foes Wofford (2-5), Furman (0-7) and Western Carolina (1-6).
This is the first meeting between the Mocs and USC Upstate. Monday's match against UT Martin is the 16
th in the all-time series that Chattanooga leads 11-4. The last match was a 6-1 UTC win on Feb. 11, 2018 in Chattanooga.
The Skyhawks are 0-3 in the spring, including a 6-1 loss to Samford on Feb. 7. UTM travels to Tennessee on Sunday before heading to Chattanooga for Monday's match.
Parking for Monday's match against UT Martin is available in the 5th Street garage for $5. Permits are needed for any other lot around the UTC Tennis Center on weekday matches.
