Mocs Open SoCon Second Half at ETSU

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- The Chattanooga women's basketball team opens the second half of the Southern Conference season Saturday afternoon at ETSU. After falling in both meetings last year, the Mocs beat the Bucs 76-67 at the Roundhouse this season.

CHATTANOOGA vs. ETSU
Chattanooga holds a 57-23 advantage against ETSU and leads the series in SoCon play by a 34-15 mark in the regular season. The Mocs are 3-2 against ETSU in the SoCon Tournament. UTC defeated the Bucs earlier this season by a 76-67 mar
+gin in the Roundhouse. On the road, the Mocs are 25-13 against ETSU and lost in Johnson City last year.

 
CHATTANOOGA
The Mocs are 11-11 overall and 6-1 in Southern Conference action, second in the league standings. Chattanooga is averaging 63.0 points per game overall and 72.1 against the conference. On the boards, UTC is pulling down 34.8 rebounds per game and is shooting 40.2 percent from the field.


Lakelyn Bouldin leads the team with 12.7 points per game and a team-best 38 from beyond the arc. She leads the SoCon in free throw shooting making 86.5 percent of her attempts. Eboni Williams, the team leader for rebounding and second in scoring, recorded her fourth double-double of the year with 27 points and 13 rebounds, both career highs. She is averaging 8.9 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. Brooke Burns leads the Mocs with 46 assists and is third for points with 7.8 per game. Arianne Whitaker has a SoCon-best 31 blocked shots this season and Abbey Cornelius is second with 19.
 
ETSU
The Bucs are 6-17 on the year and 4-3 in the Southern Conference. ETSU is averaging 67.5 points and 35.8 rebounds per game while shooting 41.5 percent from the field. From long range, the Bucs are 106-of-345 (.307) and shooting 63.7 percent from the free throw line.
 
Erica Haynes-Overton leads the team in scoring with 16.7 points per game and has a team-high 83 steals. Micah Scheetz is second on the team in scoring with 10.9 points per game. Sadasia Tipps leads the Bucs with 5.4 rebounds per game and 26 blocked shots.
