The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's tennis team closes out the 2019 regular season at home this weekend.  The Mocs host Samford on Saturday, April 13, and Alabama-Huntsville on Sunday, April 14. 

First serve for both matches is scheduled for Noon (E.D.T.) at the UTC Tennis Center.  There a forecast for inclement weather in the area this weekend.  Saturday's back-up plan is a 5:00 p.m. start time at McCallie's Strang-Voges Tennis Center, while details for Sunday's alternate site are still to be determined.  Be sure to check the women's tennis schedule page on GoMocs.com for changes in times or venues. 

Sunday is Senior Day for Delaney Edwards, Caroline Hall and Annie Tarwater.  Live scoring links for both matches are also available on the women's tennis schedule page on GoMocs.com. 

The Mocs are 8-10 overall and 1-5 in Southern Conference play. Hall leads the team with a 10-8 record in the spring, including a 6-3 mark at No. 3.  Edwards teams with sophomore Emma Van Hee at No. 1 double where they are 8-8 overall.  Tarwater and Hall are 3-1 when they team up at No. 3 doubles.

The Bulldogs are 11-10 overall and 2-4 in league action.  UTC is 17-18 in the all-time series, with Samford winning each of the last three matches. 

UAH is a member of the NCAA Division II Gulf South Conference.  The Charges are 8-9 overall and host Montevallo on Thursday before making the trip to Chattanooga.

"Samford and us have had similar seasons and there is a lot at stake for our match," stated UTC head coach Chad Camper.  We need this win to gain a good seed in the conference tournament.

"For our Senior Day match vs UAH we are hoping everything will come together before the conference tournament.  Our women have been battling every day and I am really proud of them."
