The Chattanooga women's basketball summer series: "Take Five" will introduce fans to the 2019-20 roster.
 
NaKeia Burks recently graduated from UTC with a degree in Middle Grades Math and spent last year as a student teacher, preparing her for the future.
 
"I really enjoyed getting to know my kids on another level," she said. "But it was really tough. I would get up at 5:00 a.m. and not get home until after seven, but it was worth it."
 
She is currently pursuing her Master's in Secondary Education and will play her final season after an injury gave her a redshirt her junior year.
 
NaKeia changed her number this year from 24 to 13 after she was approached by Morgan Hill about changing.
 
"I've had 24 a long time and I know Mo really wanted it. She had it in high school as well," NaKeia said. "When she texted me to ask, I said 'let's go for it.'
 
"I decided on 13 because I wore it in AAU. I kind of thought it was special because this is my 13^th year of playing this sport and why not switch it up?"

Q: Would you rather go to Hawai'i or Alaska for vacation?
A: Hawai'i.
 
Q: What is the most unusual thing you have ever eaten?
A: Calamari.
 
Q: Would you rather go into the past to meet your ancestors or your great great grandchildren?
A: Great great grandchildren.
 
Q: Would you rather have the ability to talk to animals or speak all foreign languages?
A: Talk to the animals. I have to know what my dog is thinking!
 
Q: Would you rather win be an Olympic Gold Medalist or a Nobel Peace Prize winner?
A: Nobel Peace Prize winner.
