Brooke Hampel's history with Chattanooga goes back years to summer camp.

"I came here for camp and I thought that I really liked this school," she said. "I chose UMKC, but I decided to come back here. Of all the places that recruited me, this was the one that made the most impact on me. I couldn't get it out of my head."

She came back to Chattanooga for an official visit.
Â
"I met the staff and love all their energy."
Â
Brooke is from Hazel Green, Ala. As a young child, she played the piano.

"My family is a singing family, musically inclined," she said. "I did piano concerts, but had to stop because of basketball."

Q: Hawaii or Alaska for vacation?
A: Hawaii

Q: How many pillows do you sleep with?
A: I only sleep with two, but I have a bunch on my bed. I just love fuzzy pillows."

Q: Would you rather go into the past to meet your ancestors or go into the future to meet your great great grandchildren?
A: Go into the past.

Q: Would you rather have the ability to talk to the animals or speak all foreign languages?
A: Speak foreign languages.

Q: What is the most unusual thing you have ever eaten?
A: "I went on a field trip with my school and somebody handed me some food and 'Here. Eat this. It's good.' I was kind of scared and said: 'You eat first.' And they did. I was like 'ok.' I ate it and it tasted weird. I was like 'what is this?' I looked at the bag and it was CHOCOLATE COVERED GRASSHOPPERS!"
