CHATTANOOGA --- The Chattanooga Mocs volleyball team continues its non-conference schedule this weekend in Troy, Ala., at the Troy Invitational on Friday and Saturday inside Trojan Arena on the campus of Troy University.
 
Chattanooga (2-2), alongside the tournament hosts, will join Murray State and Jacksonville as tournament participants. Admission for the weekend is FREE and more information is located at TroyTrojans.com.
 
UTC is coming off a 3-1 (25-16, 24-26, 25-21, 25-18) road loss at Tennessee State Tuesday night which followed consecutive straight-set sweeps over Western Illinois and Mississippi Valley State at last weekend's StarkVegas Classic.

CHATTANOOGA NOTES
- Chattanooga (2-2) has captured wins over WIU and MVSU while dropping matches to MSU and TSU… enters the weekend a combined 5-7 (.416) against Troy Invt'l opponents… last defeated Troy in four sets back on Aug. 29, 2015.
- Dani Szczepanski and Maddie Halsey earned StarkVegas All-Tournament honors following their play last weekend in Starkville… Szczepanski totaled 32 kills (.422) and 8.0 blocks… Halsey dished out 103 assists in 10 sets (10.3/set)… career-high 41 against MSU.
- Statistics are still UNOFFICIAL due to new software conversion issues across all levels of NCAA play… OFFICIAL stats plan to post at GoMocs.com and the volleyball stats page this week.

OPPONENT NOTES
- Troy enters the weekend with a 2-1 mark… defeated Southeastern Louisiana (3-0) and Jacksonville State (3-1)… dropped a 3-1 decision to SoCon-member ETSU… all matches were part of the Jax State Invitational hosted by JSU.
- Murray State is still searching for its first win of the 2019 season… dropped three matches last weekend at the IUPUI Hampton Inn Invitational to Valpo (3-1), IUPUI (3-2) and South Dakota (3-0)… Racers defeated the Mocs in a five-set thriller during the title match of the Chattanooga Classic in 2017… 3-0 all-time against UTC.
- Jacksonville is also looking for its first tally in the win column this season… fell in four sets in all three matches last weekend at the always tough Missouri State Invitational… Depaul, Missouri State and SEMO were its opponents… has won four of its last five matches against SoCon members… swept UTC in its last meeting back on Sept. 13, 2013.
