The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's tennis team opens the 2020 spring season with a home match against Union College (Ky.) on Sunday, Jan. 17.  The Mocs host the Bulldogs at Baylor's Guerry Tennis Center at 2:00 p.m. (E.S.T.).

"The team came back over break ready to play and improve," stated head coach Chad Camper.  "It will be good to see them on the court and use the tools we have worked on in the fall season."

The Mocs return four starters and five letter winners from last year's team.  Sophomore Polina Goloputova played every match at either the 1 or 2 positions in singles.  She and junior Emma Vann Hee tied for the team lead with 14 singles wins.

Junior Bogdana Zaporozhets and sophomore Lilly Holmes are the other two returners to the starting lineup.  Sophomore Anna Didkovskaya is the returning letter winner.

Newcomers battling for a starting role include sophomore Caroline Gibbens (Little Rock, Ark. – Iowa State) and freshmen Callie Billman (Mount Pleasant, S.C.), Grace Anne Dunavant (Memphis, Tenn.).
