The Chattanooga women's basketball team heads south to take on Mercer Saturday afternoon at Hawkins Arena. The game is set to tip off at 2:00 p.m. It will be carried live on ESPN3 and WFLI 1070 AM/97.7 FM. Links for both streams and live scoring is available at GoMocs.com.
 
Mocs vs. Bears
This will be the 23rd meeting between the Mocs and Bears. UTC leads the series 16-6 but the two are evenly matched in the SoCon regular seaso at 5-5 since Mercer joined the league in 2015. The Bears have won the last four meetings, all in the regular season.
 
Chattanooga
The Mocs two-game win streak in league play was snapped at Samford Thursday night. The Mocs are 3-2 overall and tied with Wofford and Furman for third. Chattanooga is averaging 52.4 points per game and shooting 34.5 percent from the field. On the boards, UTC is averaging 33.9 rebounds per game.
 
Lakelyn Bouldin leads UTC with 12.1 points per game, has 29 3-pointers and is 63-76 (.829) from the free throw line. Eboni Williams pulled down double-digit rebounds for the seventh time this season with 14 against the Bulldogs. She is second on the team in scoring with 9.0 points per game and has a team-high 8.3 boards per game. Bria Dial has a team-best 30 3-pointers and is third on the team with 8.0 points per game.
 
Mercer
Mercer has started the Southern Conference slate at 0-4. The Bears are 3-16 overall and are on a 10-game losing skid. They average 61.3 points and 32.9 rebounds per game. They are shooting 38.4 percent from the field and average 3.7 3-pointers per game.
 
Jaron Dougherty is one of three players averaging double figures with 15.7 points per game. Shannon Titus is second on the team in scoring with 13.5 points and has a team-best 7.2 rebounds per game. Amoria Neal-Tysor leads Mercer from distance with 30 3-pointers and is third on the team in scoring with 12.1 points per game.
