Mocs Host Vanderbilt for First Time Since 2004

| By:
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's basketball team will host Vanderbilt Sunday afternoon at the McKenzie Arena in a non-conference matchup. The game is set to tip at 2:00 p.m.

It's been a little more than 15 years since Vanderbilt last visited the Roundhouse. The Commodores were ranked 13th in the nation and the No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament.

The host Mocs, seeded 10th, were a feisty underdog who upset 7-seed Rutgers in the first round at McKenzie and were sporting the longest active win streak in the nation at 27 games. Current head coach Katie Burrows was known then as Katie Galloway and a senior on the squad.

Vanderbilt came away with a 60-44 win, snapped the streak and advanced to the Sweet 16. Sunday will be the first time the two teams will face each other since that March afternoon.
