GAME ON ! - Mocs Host Western Carolina

Girl Scouts wearing their uniform get a lower bowl ticket for $10 and receive a FREE Chattanooga patch.

The Mocs' women's basketball game schedule for Saturday at 2:00 p.m. vs. Western Carolina will go on as planned. Tickets are on sale at GoMocs.com and the box office one hour prior to tip. Come get your seat for the SNOW DAY game!!

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- The Chattanooga women's basketball team will try to expand its win streak to the longest of the season Saturday afternoon against Western Carolina. The Mocs will host the Catamounts at 2:00 p.m. at the McKenzie Arena. Fans are invited to stick around after the game for autographs with the players.

Mocs vs. Western Carolina
Today's game marks the 90th meeting between the two teams dating back to 1979. UTC holds a 78-11 advantage against the Catamounts including a 59-52 win in Cullowhee earlier this year. Mocs are 36-5 against WCU at home 66-10 in Southern Conference play.
 
Chattanooga
The Mocs are 6-16 overall and sitting in second in the league standings at 5-3 – along with UNCG, Wofford and Furman. Chattanooga won back-to-back SoCon games for the second time this season after beating ETSU in triple overtime to start February and followed it up with a strong win over UNCG at home Thursday.
 
UTC is averaging 55 points and 35 rebounds per game while shooting 35 percent from the field and 74 percent from the free throw line.
 
Lakelyn Bouldin leads the Mocs with 12.3 points per game and ranks 41st in the NCAA for free throw percentage (84.3%). Eboni Williams, averaging 8.7 rebounds per game, ranks 80th in the NCAA and 84th for total rebounds with 183. She is second on the team in scoring with 9.4  points per game.
 
Western Carolina
The Catamounts earned their first SoCon victory of the year with a win over Mercer last week. WCU averages 54.2 points and 35 rebounds per game. The Cats are shooting 37.8 percent from the field and average seven 3-pointers per game.
 
Jewel Smalls leads the team with a double-double scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds per game. Lauren LaPlant is second on the team in scoring. With a team-best 61 treys, she and Smalls have 113 of the Catamounts' 160 3-pointers. Tembre Moates is third on the team in scoring with 8.1 points per game and Judith Martin Ruiz has 105 assists on the year.
