CHATTANOOGA---The Chattanooga Mocs are home for the week beginning with a Wednesday visit from Mercer. Both squads are looking to get their conference seasons on track after slow starts.
Chattanooga is coming home from a 92-87 loss at The Citadel. It's three league losses are by a combined 14 points after closing the nine-game win streak to start the season with three consecutive three-point wins.
David Jean-Baptiste leads the way at 19.1 points per game.
Malachi Smith posts 16.6 points and 10.2 rebounds per contest with Stefan Kenić (13.2) also contributing double digits.
The Bears built their 7-3 mark with strong offensive numbers registering 81.6 points per game. Five players average in double figures in Ross Cummings (16.6), Neftali Alvarez (13.0), Felipe Haase (12.5), Maciej Bender (12.1) and Leon Ayers (11.7). They were Georgia state champs with wins over Georgia Tech (83-73), Georgia State (86-69), Georgia Southern (77-75) and Kennesaw State (81-81). Georgia State was the only win of the four at home.
