CHATTANOOGA--- The Chattanooga Mocs complete a 2-game home stand Saturday with a visit from Wofford. It's a battle of two teams coming off dramatic mid-week Southern Conference wins.

The Mocs came back from 19 down to topple Mercer 83-80. The Bears led 40-21 with 2:25 left in the first half. The good guys went on 45-18 run over the next 14:46 to go up and eight then hold on for the win.

The opposite happened at VMI. The Keydets came back from double digits as well to lead in the final minute. An offensive rebound on a missed free throw put them in position with a one-point lead. A missed three with 11 seconds left was followed by a Storm Murphy three with 1.3 seconds to play for the 80-78 win.

David Jean-Baptiste leads four scoring in double figures for the Mocs at 19.2 points per contest. Malachi Smith adds 16.4 points and 10.0 rebounds per game with Stefan Kenić (14.2) and Darius Banks (10.0) joining the party. Murphy leads the Terriers at 19.1 points per contest followed by Tray Hollowell (12.1). Eight Terriers average 6.7 or more points per game.

Chattanooga comes into the game 11-3 overall, 2-3 in the SoCon, while the Terriers are 7-4, 4-1 in league play. Watch on ESPN+ or listen on WFLI 97.7 FM/1070 AM in Chattanooga as well as the TuneIn app.

3 NOTES TO KNOW
- One of 13 teams in the nation with 11 or more wins.
- A win over Wofford would mark the 12 time the program won 12 or more of its first 15 and would be the fourth 12-3 record. The all-time best 15-game start was 14-1 in 1973-74 with 13-2 recorded in 1927, 1974-75, 1976-77, 1981-82, 1983-84, 2002-03 and 2015-16. The Mocs also reached 12-3 in 1972-73, 1982-83 and 1993-94.
- David Jean-Baptiste is a mere five points outside the top 20 in scoring at Chattanooga. His 1,017 is just shy of Hall of Famer Eric Smith '81 at 1,122.

3 STATS TO KNOW
- There were zero ties and just a solitary lead change in Wednesday's win over Mercer. That seems like a statistical anomaly a 3-point final margin. The Mocs trailed from the opening points until 10:44 of the second half on a Malachi Smith jumper in the paint and never relinquished it from there.
- Chattanooga scored 21 points in the first 17:55 of the Mercer game and 62 over the remaining 22:05. That's the difference between a 46.88 and 112.30-point pace. The offense averaged 2.81 points per minute to complete the comeback.
- Stefan Kenić tallied a career-high 27 points in the Mercer win. He's scored 44 points over his last three halves (50:12) or 35.1 points per 40 minutes.
